Get your flight suit fitted with the help of elves at the Flight Suit Visualizer, learn how to operate the magical sleigh, dance inside the sleigh, and finish it off with a picture with Santa himself! Santa’s Flight Academy is a great way to create memories and capture the spirit of the holidays all in one place. Want to skip the line? Join Santa’s Express Lane and reserve your time slot and purchase your photo package in advance! Photo packages range from $23.00 to $56.00. The journey is open all mall hours located on the lower level in Grand Court at Sunvalley Shopping Center, 1 Sunvalley Mall in Concord.

Have Breakfast with Santa at The Veranda

Bring your children on December 9th, 16th, or 23rd between 9:00 and 11:00 am for the meet and greet before he leaves for the North Pole. Have your personal letter to Santa? Bring it that morning and give it to the big jolly guy himself! The Veranda Shopping Center is the newest shopping center in Concord located at 2001-2003 Diamond Boulevard.

Pick up personal gifts for your loved ones this holiday season crafted by local artists and vendors, and enjoy a stroll through Holiday Lanes! Whether you want a piece of cork art for a wine lover, or want to stock up on homemade holiday cards, you can find something for everyone! The boutique will be open Saturday, December 9th and Sunday, December 10th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Concord Museum and Events Center located at the Concord Historical Society Campus, 1721 Amador Avenue in Concord.

Historical Walk through the Holiday Decorated Galindo House

Immerse yourself in Concord history at The Galindo Home and Gardens, built for Don Francisco Galindo and his wife in 1856, and was passed down to future generations. The Galindo House, operated by the Concord Historical Society, serves as museum at 1721 Amador Avenue in Concord. The house will be decorated for the holiday season, and the perfect place to get you in the holiday spirit while learning more about Concord’s history! The Christmas tours will be held every Saturday and Sunday in December, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm, ending December 17th.

Hospice Tree Lighting

The Hospice of the East Bay Tree of Lights ceremony has offered local community members a way to honor and remember their loved ones for over 30 years. For a suggested donation of $30, you can dedicate a Memorial Light in honor of a loved one, or donate $100 or more and you will have the option to have a name printed in the lighting ceremony program. On the night of Tuesday, December 19th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, the Concord & Clayton tree lighting ceremony will be held at the John Muir Medical Center Parking lot, at East Street and Almond Avenue. Join together with the Concord community and celebrate the memories of your loved ones!

Ice Skating at The Veranda

Pull on your skates and slide your way onto the ice rink at The Veranda Shopping Center for a fun filled day with your family and friends! The 3,500 square foot ice rink can fit up to 100 people and will be open 7 days a week for you to enjoy this season. Admission for children and adults is $14.00 and includes 90 minutes of skating and your skate rental. Want to skate all season long? A season pass for the entire season is only $99.00! The Ice Rink is also available to rent out for birthday parties, work parties, or any special occasion. Oh what fun!
