Thursday, May 4

11:30 AM – 17th Annual Small Business Awards 

The East Bay Leadership Council is celebrating small businesses that have been nominated by their local Chamber of Commerce for this esteemed award. Tickets are $50 and pre-registration is required.


Saturday, May 6

9:00 AM – Cycling Morgan Territory and Mount Diablo 

Serious Cycling Club is hosting a non-ironically serious 65-mile ride this Saturday. Join the group to climb 6,700 feet to reach gorgeous views at the top of Mount Diablo. Come prepared to ride alone, but don’t expect to!

10:00 AM – Bringing Back the Natives Plant Sale 

Markham Nature Park and Arboretum is having a two-day native plant sale May 6-7. There will be a handful of plants native to the area available at discounted prices to get you ready for the spring and summer. The sale runs 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday.


Monday, May 8

7:00 PM – Succulent Party at Mimi’s Café 

Just in time for Mother’s Day! Mimi’s Café is hosting a succulent terrarium workshop, where you will get to create and take home your very own terrarium. And if you bring your mom along, you’ll get a free ticket to the next workshop!


Thursday, May 11

5:00 PM – Concord Bike to Work Day Celebration 

The third annual Bike to Work Day commences with a sunny celebration! Join other cyclists and Bike Concord for a snack, drink and giveaways at Todos Santos Plaza.

7:00 PM – BIG RIVER: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn 

Contra Costa School of Preforming Arts debuts BIG RIVER, the Tony Award-winning Broadway play featuring Mark Twain’s classic characters in a story of friendship, freedom and triumph. Catch this awesome show at 7:00 PM Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, May 11 through May 20.


Saturday, May 13

1:00 PM – 5th Annual Art & Wine Walk

Stroll, sip and shop your way around downtown Concord during the fifth annual Art and Wine (and beer!) Walk. From 1-4 PM, shoppers can browse stores while enjoying fine wine, craft beer and appetizers. Mount Diablo Music Education Foundation’s All Area Music Festival will be in full swing at Todos Santos Plaza at the same time. The walk begins at the corner of Salvio Street and Grant Street, outside of E.J. Phair Brewing Company.

2:00 PM – A Vintage Tea Party at Ruth Bancroft Garden 

Put on your best dress and hat for a backyard tea party. Hosted by The Ruth Bancroft Garden, guests will enjoy homemade scones and tea sandwiches while learning the history of tea. Cost is $50 per person.

2:00 PM – MOMDay in the Plaza & All Area Music Festival 

Celebrate Mom and East Bay Music this Sunday! Treat Mom to a special day shopping and dining in Todos Santos Plaza, then stick around for the All Area Music Festival which will feature student musicians from across the Bay Area.


Saturday, May 20

10:00 AM – City Directories Workshop 

Concord Family History Center is hosting a fun class to learn more about your ancestors. Directories can fill in the gaps with occupation, addresses and much more. If you are looking to learn more about your family’s history in Concord, this class is for you!

12:00 PM – Pride on the Plaza 

Join The Rainbow Community Center of Contra Costa County on Todos Santos Plaza for a celebration of love and pride! Pride on the Plaza will feature performances by drag queens and music by local bands, a beer garden for those over age 21, food from Waffle Amore Food Truck and Lantern Catering Co., and over 30 local businesses on site. This event is free and open to all ages. Lawn chairs will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own as well!

7:30 PM – Dining in the Dark: A Culinary Adventure 

Excite your senses at this one of a kind dining experience. Guests will be blindfolded throughout a five-course dinner prepared by the only two Certified Master Chefs in Northern California. This concept was created in Switzerland in 1999 by a blind member of the clergy who wanted to convey the experience of blindness and demonstrate how the removal of vision enhances the other senses. Seating is limited to 24, so don’t wait to sign up!


Saturday, May 27

6:30 AM – Armed Forces Half Marathon 

Be one of the first civilians to ever run, walk, or see the Concord Naval Weapons Station at the inaugural Armed Forces Half Marathon. The race begins and ends at Todos Santos Plaza and all proceeds from the race will support the Disabled Veterans Fund and Children’s Autism. Race finishers will receive a commemorative medal and enjoy a post-race festival in the plaza.

10:00 AM – Bay Area KidFest 

The 28th Annual Bay Area KidFest is bringing three days of fun to Concord! There will be inflatable slides, art stations, face painting, exotic animals and over 20 rides for kids of all ages. There are several ticket options available and admission is free for children under 2 and seniors over 65. Free valet bike parking will be available all 3 days! This fun family event runs Saturday, May 27 through Monday, May 29. 


Monday, May 29

11:00 AM – Memorial Day at Waterworld California 

Waterworld California will be open with special hours for Memorial Day. Start your summer splashing down a slide or floating in the lazy river. The park will be open until 5pm.

Friday, May 5

8:00 PM – Cut Loose at Grant Street Pub & Pizzeria 

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with dancing, drinks and food! Grant Street will have food and drink specials all night with live music by Cut Loose from 8-11pm. This event is open to all ages and will be $5 at the door.

9:00 PM – Spirit in The Room at Red Hat  

The show starts at 9:00 pm sharp! Ages 21 and over are welcome. 


Saturday, May 6

9:00 PM – Young Beard, The Monument Strange & Escape Agency at Red Hat 

Three bands bringing the jams to Concord. The show is $7 at the door and is open to those ages 21 and over.


Thursday, May 11

6:00 PM – Tamsen Donner Band at Legends at Diablo Creek 

Tamsen Donner Band has been jammin’ since 1996. Catch them playing bluesy tunes, funky dance music and your favorite covers until 9:00pm at Legends.


6:30 PM – 29th Annual Music and Market Series Begins with The Rock, Rhythm & Blues Revue 

Concord’s eclectic, award-winning Music and Market Series is back for the 29th year! The first show of the summer is in memory of Steve Sage, former stage manager and much-loved musician in the Diablo Valley. The Rock, Rhythm & Blues Revue will be bringing the tunes starting at 6:30 pm. All ages are welcome.


Friday, May 12

6:00 PM – Madison Hudson at Legends at Diablo Creek  

Put your dancing boots on and get ready to dance with Madison Hudson at Legends at Diablo Creek. 

9:30 PM – The UnOriginals at Vinnie’s Bar & Grill 

Catch a hometown band to start your weekend! Party at 9:30. Or at happy hour.

12:00 PM – Mount Diablo Music Education Foundation Music Festival 2017 

Local student musicians will be preforming this Saturday. Support local music while you shop for a special Mother’s Day gift.

12:00 – LuvSik at Vinnie’s Bar & Grill 

Vinnie’s is hosting a special preview for LuvSik, a brand new East Bay band. Come get an exclusive sneak peek!

9:30 PM – Triggered Heart at Red Hat 

Rock into the weekend with two local acts and Triggered Heart.


Tuesday, May 16

7:00 PM – Clayton Valley Instrumental Music Spring Concert 

Clayton Valley Charter High School’s symphonic and jazz bands will be showcasing new music during their spring concert. Come support rising local talent on Tuesday, May 16 and Wednesday, May 17.


Thursday, May 18

6:00 PM – KT & Dell at Legends at Diablo Creek

Live music Thursday! Catch KT & Dell at Legends tonight.

6:30 PM – Zydeco Flames at Music and Market

The West Coast’s premier Zydeco band will be live at Todos Santos Plaza for the Music and Market Series. Bringing a mix of Cajun and Zydeco music, you won’t think twice about getting up to dance at this show!


Friday, May 19

6:00 PM – Diamond Ridge at Legends at Diablo Creek

East Bay country rock band, Diamond Ridge is kicking off the weekend. Don’t miss it!

7:00 PM – Herb Ohta Jr. with Chris Kamaka Jr. at The Cue 

Multi Na Hoku Award winner Herb Ohta Jr. and Chris Kamaka at The Cue! These two artists will blend their unique talents of music and song for this special event. Tickets are $25 per person.

8:00 PM – Tribute Night at Vinnie’s Bar & Grill 

If you like throwback tunes, you better get to Vinnie’s. May 19 is tribute night, featuring all the music that you know and love. Be there or be square.

9:00 PM – VOLT & Ozzy Alive at Vinnie’s Bar & Grill 

Let there be rock! VOLT — a salute to AC/DC is playing at Vinnie’s starting at 9.

6:00 PM – The Blues Bottle Band at Legends at Diablo Creek

Head to legends to catch some R&B, classic rock and blues from The Blues Bottle Band.

6:30 PM – The Concord High Jazz Band at Music and Market

Concord High School Jazz Band will be live at Music and Market this Thursday. Support your local schools, rising talent and farmers!

9:00 PM – Fleet Street & Friends at Red Hat 

Fleet Street returns to Red Hat for a night of rock n’ roll. Memphis Blues Project and Brian and the Guys will be joining Fleet Street to make an epic night. This event is $5 at the door and open to those over age 21.


Saturday, May 27 - Sunday, May 28

12:00 PM –Stone Soul Festival at Concord Pavilion

Fans of funk, soul and rock n’ roll are in for a two-day treat! Performances include The Isley Brothers, Joe, Cameo and Doug E. Fresh. Shows are held at Concord Pavilion and ticket prices vary.

5:00-9:00 PM - Off the Grid Food Trucks at Todos Santos Plaza 

Stop in for dinner at one of eight rotating food trucks and enjoy live, local music while you eat. This event is located on Grant Street between Salvio Street and Willow Pass Road and is open to all ages. 

Senior Day at Diablo Creek Golf Course

Play a round or two with new and old friends. Every Monday! 


Every Tuesday

10AM-2PM - Concord Farmer's Market at Todos Santos Plaza

Get your grocery shopping done and support your local farmers at the same time. Starting next month, the Farmer's Market will take place on Thursday evening in addition to Tuesdays. 

7:30-11:00 PM - Country Night at Vinnie's Bar & Grill

Country dance classes begin at 7:30 PM, then at 9:00 PM the floor opens to anyone feeling groovy. Country Night is every Tuesday at Vinnie's!
